Nolan's Visit
It has been several weeks now since Nolan made a weekend visit to Almosta Farm.
He came up the weekend after Christmas.
As always, it was wonderful to see him!
It has been said and you know it's true,
"there is always something to do at Almosta Farm!"
Personally, I can't think of anything more enjoyable than working around my place. It is a joy to work toward something and to see progress being made at Almosta Farm while, at the same time, being able to spend quality time with someone. That is why I welcome opportunities to get friends and family involved with my little, (and sometimes not so little), projects. After all, I just want to share the joy!
Whenever Nolan comes up for a visit he helps me with one project or another. He has always seemed to enjoy the time we spend together as have I. However, I have been advised by almost everyone that Nolan might feel like nothing more than a work horse if every time he came for a visit I had work for him to do.
Sooo... I took this advice to heart. I was bound and determined not to put Nolan to work this visit. Our weekend together was very uneventful. We pretty much just hung out, watched movies, and baked banana bread. It was great to be with Nolan and we did have a nice visit. However, when he was leaving Nolan said to me, "Next time I come up have a project ready for me to do, okay?"
Hmmm... I guess he doesn't mind working on the farm with his ol' mama after all!
TTFN :)
