Home from Utah
It was great seeing everyone. I kind of expected someone to publish something about the family reunion by now but it looks like I am the first. Lots of fun, lots of pics, not enough time to take it all in. I didn't get nearly enough time to spend with each of you all as I would have liked but I am sure glad I did get to see you all and we did have some great group fun, eh!
Sasha hosted me, Nolan, Dillon and Cerra, her friend Eric at the condos. The accommodations were really comfortable. Alan and Ani along with Eric, Kathy, Brittany, Jenna and Courtney were just upstairs from us. Some of Alan and Ani's kids spent at least part of their stay in the condos. For those who didn't have other arrangements, Alan and Ani provided great accommodations at their home in Washington. Mark and Linda stayed close to the condos in St George and were a very welcomed and long waited for addition to the group this year. Thanks to Alan and Ani for hooking us up... and to all the other folks who reached out to make sure we were all able to come (you know who you are!).
I brought home one very unwanted souvenir though. I started feeling under the weather which very quickly went from mild throat irritation on Saturday to not being able to breathe by Sunday night. I started on antibiotics on Monday. Tuesday I spiked a fever and ended up in the ER diagnosed with right lower lobe pneumonia, and (like that wasn't enough) acute exacerbation of asthma, (which I haven't been bothered by for many years). I was put on a different, stronger antibiotic and multiple other medications and haven't been back to work since I have been home. I am feeling better but still have very wet, wheezy lungs. I go back to work tomorrow, Saturday the 6th. It isn't a full 12 hr shift so I expect to do just fine. But I also expect I will sleep really well when I get home. Being sick really knocks the stuffing out of me. Thank goodness I don't get really sick very often any more.
Lets start thinking about our next get together! Perhaps in Idaho? Love to all. TTFN :)
