Good morning family and friends!

What a beautiful day it is. When I went out to feed the animals this morning it was about 72 degrees. The sun was shining and the air smelled clean and fresh after a summer rain last evening. After I fed the animals I relaxed in the back yard and watched as Max circled the fence, guarding the goats, (his daily routine). The goats are oblivious of his efforts, munching away at their morning meal while trying to stay out of the horse's way.
The horse, oblivious of the goats, ambles around trying to decide which of the three piles of hay is the tastiest before she finally settles down to eat. Chickens scurry about the yard and corrals scratching at the ground and clucking to each other while catching early morning bugs.

The cats in the meantime are busy stalking grasshoppers, dandelions and each other.

Then a small group of spring
chicks we affectionately call 'the posse' appears. They came running around the corner with a couple of old hens hot on their trail (not uncommon but very funny).

I LOVE my place, my chickens, goats, horse, some of my cats and I even like my dog a lot.
Max, (the dog), is very simple minded but very loving. He is becoming a very good dog. Over time I will probably love him too. Well, I just wanted to share this lovely morning with you. TTFN :)
